I'll still be using their site and when i really need it, paying 5 bucks for a month of access won't be a big dealĮdit: and a side note on rtings vs digitaltrends taking on sponsors. I'm saddened that it's not readily available and the previous limit of 3 reviews in a day or something could be easily circumvented. Could you point to another site or source that can provide something like the below link?
I say, you may not be familiar with rtings enough on the level of their testing, their written reviews, and the sheer amount of data on their website. I agree it's a saturated market but you also state rich insight and high production value. Further, we buy our own units and don't accept cherry picked units from brands so our experience matches that of a regular buyer. We want to remain independent and ad free so as not to be beholden to advertisers. We DO NOT have ads on our website anywhere. Currently, we generate revenues via affiliate links in reviews and with direct user support via our Insider program. I've seen some conflicting comments that I just wanted to clarify.
I'll be compiling all of the comments to go over with the team personally. So just know that any feedback you give is genuinely taken seriously by me personally and given real consideration by the team as a whole. We document every single piece of feedback we get and we're always striving to improve. My job here is to make sure the voice of the community is clear to the rest of the team.
My aim with jumping in here to talk about it was to hopefully find ways that we could offer more value to you and what ways, if any, you could see yourself supporting our work. I definitely understand the frustrations shared by people in this thread. We're considering a lot of different possibilities, but we would really appreciate hearing from you about any ideas you have! More specifically, what ways could you see yourself willing supporting our work? What other things could we do to offer more value to you? If you, or anyone that reads this is up for it, we'd be curious hear from you all about this.
We want to maintain our independence so we don't want to rely on ads and affiliate revenues are not guaranteed and at the mercy of the companies that provide them.
